The principle of empowering previously disadvantaged individuals was introduced in the New Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, Act 108 of 1996 and promotes the adoption of steps to advance persons or categories of persons previously disadvantaged by unfair discrimination.

East Rand Bulk complies with the above act and provisions outlined. However, our internal policies do not legislate business association and activities with other BEE enterprises, but rather adopt a preferred recommendation on BEE-established enterprises and organisations.

East Rand Bulk adopts and displays transparency at all times with regard to the Act and have installed a system of continuous compliance by empowering all employees by means of a skills transfer programme.
